Hi, I’m Natacha Robert and I’m delighted to be joining Citizen Zoo as a Non-Executive Director!

My path to conservation started with a rather awkward family moment. 2 years ago, my teenage daughter labelled me a “green warrior” after I refused to let her join a school ski trip to Canada. The carbon footprint was 19,000 kg CO2 per child, and I couldn’t stay silent about it.

I raised my concerns in the parent WhatsApp group and even complained to the headmistress. Only one parent out of 27 responded positively. The rest said nothing, and my daughter faced some difficult moments with classmates for my stance.

That’s when I realised how hypocritical I was being. I was criticising others without channelling my passion into meaningful action.

As a Fractional CFO who’s spent years helping B2B SMEs scale profitably, I’ve learned that the most powerful change happens when you use your existing skills for something bigger. So I decided to bridge my expertise in finance with my commitment to sustainability.

What excites me most about Citizen Zoo is how we’re proving that environmental impact and business success aren’t mutually exclusive. We’re creating real change while building a sustainable organisation, which aligns perfectly with my belief that we can make profit whilst being good for the planet.

As a NED, I’m looking forward to bringing my experience in scaling businesses and financial strategy to support Citizen Zoo’s incredible mission. Having worked with companies navigating growth challenges, I understand the importance of strong foundations that support both commercial success and environmental goals.

I want to be known as the “Green Mum” who makes my kids proud because I’m passionate about reversing climate change through practical business action. Let’s make urban rewilding not just an environmental necessity, but a thriving reality for London!
